Accident and Emergency

What happens if my child has an accident?

Staff are all trained in First Aid, so your child will be cared for and receive prompt treatment from our First aid box. In the event of a serious accident, incident or illness, Pre-School will contact 111 or 999 depending on the severity of the accident, incident or illness. The parent or carer will be notified immediately if there is any concern with a child’s health.

What happens if my child has to be taken to hospital?

Your child’s safety is one of our key priorities. In the event that your child has to be taken to hospital, an ambulance will be called. To make sure your child remains calm and cared for, a member of staff will remain at their side as long as necessary. At the same time, the child’s parent or carer will be immediately notified.

What happens if there is a fire?

We have an easy and straightforward evacuation procedure which we practice on a regular basis to ensure the children are familiar with the process.
